How do you find a ghost who doesn’t want to be found?
That has been the question I have been wrestling with for the past 3 years. Ever since I learned about grief bots, which for the uninitiated are AI clones of the dead.
They present massive scary ethical dilemmas, ones that kept me up at night.
But what unsettled me most wasn’t just the ethics, it was my own desire to ignore the warning that my gut was screaming do it anyway. A part of me was naively hopeful that through the magic of radio and technology I could retrieve something precious I had lost.
